Thanks-giving

Saturday we had a nice get together with the Gail Grundvig and Loretta, Daron and Stephaine, Brenda, Amanda, Gayla, and Lisa's, families. Along with the boys, Adam, Richard Blaike, and Randy. It was a great time. Just being together. We did miss Denise and Loraina's family and Grandma Grundvig. (Sorry no pictures I forgot the camera.)

Sunday Richard Blake cooked a turkey and boy was it moist. We had potatoes, gravey, corn, and relish tray. Gardell was called out at 8 this morning. We had our fist heavy first snow storm of the year. It was beautiful. So Gardell missed our Sunday feast but he got home at 8 was able to help with the turkeys.

The Herd of 24 turkeys was done Sunday night. Randy, Gardell, and myself sat and made them. We made them out of Double Stuff's, candy corn, whoppers, mini peanut butter cups, mini chips, cereal for the feet. It was great fun. Tomorrow early we will deliever.

Delivering will be fun. More to come.

It was great to be at Blaike and Austin's Soccer game. They are great players. Blaike has been asked to be on a compatition team. This game he made 8 goals. He has learned how to kick far from the goal. Then to cheer for the goal he slides on the grass. Very Cute.

Austin can keep up with Blaike but is just happy to play. He was hurt this game. Hurt his shoulder and then bonged heads with another player. All in one quarter.
His mom took care of him. He got back in and made 2 goals. He was hot.

What cute grandchildren. I love those grandchildren.

Soccer: Week 2

Another day at Soccer with the grandchildren. Blaike game was at 12:00. He continues to improve but we had a little pushing today. He did help the guy on the other team up. Great Sportmanship.

Austins game was at 1:00. He ruler. The team practiced how to listen. They played Red Light, Green Light. He asked if he could be the leader next time. He forgot it was Red Light Green Light. Instead he made it Stop and Go. The players were a little confused. It was great.

What cool grandchildren.

Saturday the 25 of September was another soccer day. What a fun day. Austin made a goal for grandpa, grandma, and Randy. "So he said" We had a hour between games so Austin played on the big toy and grandma and Blaike played soccer. We both was tired. Blaikes game he did well. He kicked a goal by side kicking. He is able now to kick farther away so it gives him the advantage to get one in. Fun games.

Grandma was able to go to Blaikes school Carnival on September 15, 2010. We had a great time. While Lisa worked the fish pond, I was able to take Blaike and Austin to the different games. Blaike and Austin enjoyed the big blow-up toys. We had Pizza, pop, and chips for dinner. Blaike loved the popcorn for his treat and Austin loved the cotton candy that we had after dinner. The best part of the carnival was mom was working the fish pond. We had to do it a couple of times. Grandma's favorite was the balloon lady. Maybe one day I will learn to do balloons and make fun animals. It was a great night

Fall Soccer

Austin and Blaike are playing "Fall Soccer". The first game was great. Austin thought it was a football field, tackling and falling on the ball to keep it safe. He had a great time. When it came his time to sit out he went and played on the big toy. There is no stopping this boy. He is always busy. Blaike was a little tumid but did a great job also. Blaike just wanted to play tag with Lisa and myself on the big toy. He hasn't realize I do not do that in Public.. Only when no one is watching.

Last week we could not be there but Austin informed us that he made a goal for Randy, Grandpa, and me Grandma. We were proud of him. Blaike kicked a goal with a side kick far from the goal. Lisa said it was great.

Road Trip

Friday Lisa, Blaike, Austin, and myself decided since the men were off Elk and Deer hunting we were going to go on a Road Trip. We started by having lunch with Randy. He also needed to pick up his bow since he broke the string. We were glad to have an excuse to do it.

From there we went to Cabela's. Men all over the place but the reason we went was to see my cousin that I hadn't seen in over 30 years. We asked for Steven Nielson and they pointed us down the counter and as we were trying to figure out which employee he was he said "Hello Carole". I was so excited. He even gave me a hug. He was with a customer and so we did not talk much. But Blaike and Austin got some tokens from Steven. They went and played the Arcades. Lisa took a shot at the skunk and hit it. Not only hit it she got sprayed. The boys were able to feed the fish and look at all of the big ones they had.

From there we went to Helper and Saw Big John. The boys could not believe how big he was. They got into the coal cars. Off to the Helper park. I spent many days at the swimming pool growing up. We road up to the Cemetery, then off to Kenilworth. We saw the home my mother lived. All so the church. Even tho she didn't go when she was young. I do remember going to that church with dad and mom. Dad probably was speaking.

Down to Spring Glen Park. Dad started the park while they lived in Spring Glen. Now stands green grass where when I was going to school was all dirt. The boys had fun swinging, sliding and playing on the bars.

It was getting time to get to Grandma Grundvigs. The boys wanted to go to the school and play on the toys. So the boys and Young Grandma went over to the school. There they started playing tag. I can not believe they talked me into it. Lisa just happened to show up and she ended up being it. For the first time in maybe in 40 years I have every slide down a slide. I was pretty good keeping away from Lisa. The boys are a little faster. It was great fun.

That night we were tired. I went and did some grocery shopping. Gardell and Kyle got in about 9.00pm. That was nice not to late.

Up the canyon I have always wanted to visit a Cemetery. It is called the Mill Creek Cemetery. It was a pretty cemetery. Austin was a sleep so Lisa, Blaike, and myself looked through it. Blaike found a pussy-willow and wanted it. So he and Lisa worked on it and the picture will show the out come.
